On the Road of Creation

Educated in the Art of Narrative Nonfiction, I specialize in crafting engaging, authentic content that offers new perspectives. I aim to bridge the gap between credible information and empathy by combining sensitive, complex topics with a personal narrative.

 Before my mental illness crisis, I was pursuing a degree in Food Science and Nutrition. When recovering from Psychosis awoke my life-long desire to write, I surrendered, embraced the dream's return, and jumped into the arms of the craft of writing. 

Niches include my personal connections with Mental Illness: Psychosis, Recovery, Neurodiversity, Traumatic Brain Injury, Cognitive Disability, ADHD, PTSD, Substance Abuse, Anxiety, Depression, Managing Stress, Survivor's Guilt, Childhood Abuse and Trauma, Navigating Marriage with a Disabled Veteran, Parenting with Mental Illness, and Fighting the Stigma Around All of It.

I also enjoy writing about the intersection of diet and health, beginning the academic journey later in life, family road-trips with our Doberman, nature, history, ancestry, skincare, and other miscellaneous accessories of life. 

Some of the sensitive and complex topics I have navigated include: losing a parent to cancer, the Genetic mutation BRCA 2, giving birth while your spouse is deployed, transitioning into a new life at a new duty station, evolution of friendship, estranged family members, and shameful family secrets. 

In essence, I write about the truth. Real life with real details.
